After an engagement and applications process from June to December 2025, the four UK governments have collectively chosen the producer responsibility organisation (PRO) to work alongside Pack UK.
UK Packaging PRO, set-up by INCPEN and the Food and Drink Federation, was announced today (23 March 2026) as the governments’ choice.

The appointment of UK Packaging PRO starts on 1st April 2026. There will be a gradual ramping-up over several months of staff employed, planning to take-on agreed Pack UK functions, and engagement with stakeholders. Further communications are planned as activities move forward.
