  • Becoming an INCPEN member is an efficient and effective use of your resources. Many members tell us the biggest benefit is time saved: we help you stay informed and ahead in a fast-changing packaging landscape.
  • Our membership spans the entire packaging value chain, enabling us to convene, collaborate, and represent the sector with a strong, joined-up voice. Together, we influence policy and drive meaningful change.
  • Our collective voice carries real weight. In the UK alone, INCPEN members contribute over £10 billion annually to the economy and support more than 600,000 jobs.
  • Members receive full and early access to exclusive research we commission, including our annual survey of over 5,000 UK citizens—providing valuable insight into public attitudes and behaviour.
  • We value every member equally, regardless of size. All members have a place at the Board table, and we actively support their individual priorities, issues, and perspectives.
  • INCPEN does not favour one packaging material over another. Our objective, evidence-based approach is widely respected and valued by governments and key stakeholders.
  • Our highly experienced team brings deep sector knowledge and a strong track record of building productive, collaborative relationships. We operate as a small, remote team—focused on delivering excellent value for money.
  • Above all, INCPEN is a trusted and respected organisation with a proven record of impact.

What our INCPEN members say…

“I always found them super useful in my previous role. When I moved organisation, I was keen that we join INCPEN too”

“Our INCPEN membership is the best money I spend each year to be honest!”

“The summaries INCPEN produce on Government consultations and new legislation are extremely helpful. Packaging is only part of the wider remit of my role and I don’t have time to go through them in depth myself”

“INCPEN sit in a valuable sweet spot in the packaging sector with an objectivity that comes from being material neutral and work spanning the whole value chain”

“They have always been known as an organisation strong on research,  I’m glad to see this continues with their large annual citizen survey. It throws up some really helpful insights”

“It’s good to know INCPEN has ‘got my back’ when it comes to keeping up with regulatory changes on packaging and what they may mean for my sector and my organisation”

INCPEN Trades Associations Group (TAG)

INCPEN has long-established partnerships with like-minded organisations that share an interest in effective packaging systems. Together, these organisations form the INCPEN Trade Associations Group (TAG).

TAG brings together the full range of packaging material sectors—cartons, glass, metals, paper and card, plastics, and wood. In total, the group represents 43 trade and representative bodies across the packaging value chain.

By convening TAG, INCPEN enables members to share insight, align perspectives, and collaborate on key packaging issues. This collective approach is particularly valuable in responding to government consultations and influencing the development of UK and European packaging policy.
