Businesses in the packaging supply chain want to respond to consumers’ concerns by reducing and improving the packaging on products that are genuinely packed excessively. However they also want to explain why well designed packaging is an important part of the economy, how it helps to reduce damage by protecting products and provides major benefits of convenience and diversity that enable consumers to live the way they do.
